Only in Texas...How crazy is this?

Yep, that's a Tornado Watch for the afternoon/evening, and Winter Storm Warning for late tonight and tomorrow...

I snapped that photo of the Weather Channel today. Here's hoping for some actual snow!

We ended up with about a quarter inch of ice coating everything, and eventually, a half inch of snow atop that. Now quite the blizzard I was hoping for, but it made a lovely change from heat, as did the sub-freezing temperatures all day long.

I went for a while in the snow when it was coming down well, took some pictures of a little strip of forest nestled between rows of houses, listened to the snow falling and the wind rushing, the ice-coated dead leaves crunching, and just basically enjoyed feeling cold for once.

Of course today it's almost 50 degrees, sunny, and it's pretty much all melted. Ah well, it was nice while I lasted.

It's very cold. I'm heavily drinking exotic beers. I feel metal.

For those interested, my beers tonight have been:

Left Hand Imperial Stout, Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout, Left Hand Black Jack Porter, Saint Arnold's Christmas Ale.

Good stuff. And no, I don't drink "regular" beer. I only drink GOOD beer. Lol. My beers tonight varied from 6.5% to 10.5% ABV, with your average commerical beer at about 4% ABV.

Good stuff.

Here's a picture I took last night, while taste testing beers with my dad. This is the Left Hand Imperial Stout, and Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout.

Obviously, Left Hand on the left, and Great Divide on the right, two glasses of each, half a Bomber ( 22oz ) bottle per glass.

Microbreweries rule.

Oops, pay no attention to the bottle in the back, it's an Erdinger Hefe Wiezen dark that was left over from another day lol.

Women are confusing. ( No offense Sarah and Abs! )

As I've mentioned, Jenn made a long, emotional plea for me to take her back. I told her that while I still love her, it would take a while before I was able to really be in a relationship with her again. She was fine.

So, we've been working on that for the last few months. We've hung out quite a few times, hit it off great, and mostly just like old times.

Tonight I ask her if she wants to spend New Year's Eve with me at my house, and she says...she's not sure.

She says she's gotten confused by her emotions again, and as she put it, said "it feels more like brother/sister love between us then relationship love."

What the hell. She also has already been asked by a friend who's quite romantically interested in her to some New Years Event, and that she is considering attending that with him.

So, now I'm not really sure what to think, I'm feeling rather confused myself.

Can someone explain the female mind to me?  Tongue

Kind of a sad day today.

We had to have the oldest of our two cats put to sleep. Her name was Spice, and We've had her pretty much as long as I can remember. Spice was only a few years younger then me!

Always been a great cat. Anyone could just walk up to her, at any time, and pet her, and she'd just sit there and purr. Family, friends, or strangers, didn't matter. And when you stopped, she'd just follow you and ask for more. Just the sweetest cat ever.

But, she was really old, over 20, which for a cat is ancient. She'd been good up until recently, but the last few days was just suddenly having a lot of trouble walking.

So, I guess it was time.

I got up early to go to the vet with my mom, because my mom wouldn't be in any condition to drive afterwards. I wasn't much better, but at least I got us home.

Ah, well.

I guess I fell off the planet or something.

Well, I found my way back.

Time to catch up...or...something.
