Same here Margie, and don't feel bad about not telling us sooner - we all know you had more important things on your mind. Much happiness here in the Jewel of the North

I dreamt that I was hanging out with David Bowie. We'd been riding around in his big white car and he wanted to rush home and show me something. He was quite excited. I'm thinking, "I can't believe I'm hanging out with David Bowie!". We get to his house and he hurries out of the car and walks briskely to his tool shed with me following behind. He rolls out a sort of low rider bicycle. It has glossy white pearlescent paint and a lot of chrome. It looked like a 1950's design. It turns out to be a lawn mower! He tells me that one lays down on it thereby getting a low eye level view of the grass. Then, Robert Fripp showed up. It was the recently Youtubed Frippertronics Fripp with screwy 80's haircut. Turns out Robert has the same lawnmower and began extoling it's virtues in his typically calm methodical manner.

The End.

Of the many directions this could have gone in, a lawnmower isn't bad ....

LOL! I knew it sounded well... funny. But in the dream, I wasn't worried. What was it with all the white? He was dressed in white too. I know, TWD.

I had that lawnmower dream, except it I only wish it had been a dream.
And it wasnt Bowie and RF, it was my crazy neighbor Larry who spent two hours explaining to me the various features good and bad of every mower he had ever owned.
Me, being new to the neighborhood, didnt want to get off on the wrong foot, so I stood and listened.

I'll have to post some of my better Crazy Neighbor Larry stories one of these days.

Sweet! BBG was a particular highlight of the show I saw, long trippy space improv and all.

I've got recordings of it from Philly and Buffalo for any interested parties....

If Crazy Larry is the one with the bees, then yeah, you definitely need to share a few stories.

The 1973 Glasgow show from KC is up at DGM Live.  There are bits of this on  The Great Deceiver, but they were only bits and they were edited.  This is the whole thing.  Fracture, Cat Food, Improvs.  Mmmm....

More 70s Cat Food!

SOLD!

O!

EDIT: Now I realise this is the same 70s Cat Food as on TGD, which is a shame, but I'm still thinking SOLD!

Looking at the box, I see that except for a 3 minute improv, most of what I'd want most is on the box, so ... I may pass.

I'd like to hear what those of you who go for it think, however.

Sound quality is tops.  The preformance is okay, but certain parts pale in comparison to their counterparts from the Amsterdam show fom exactly one month later.  But it's still a great show.  There's a really nice version of "The Talking Drum".  Between that, the extra improv, and the extended Fracture (though I'm not a huge fan of the extra section) I think it's worth it.

I wouldn't call it essential like Asbury Park or Kingston, but it's a good show.

I'm listenimng to Side Three "Whatever" and it sounded like Ade was playing Ade's guitar part and Robert's. This made me wonder how they have influenced each other. I was probably into something else in the '80's and don't know the pre-KC history of Ade's playing by ear.

How have they influenced each other?
