New Bryan Ferry album to include one track with Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay and Brian Eno... oh, and some other collaborators of note on other tracks too.

And the answer is that they will all be available digitally on release date
Ahh, thanks. At least that'll be cheaper than buying a turntable.

Eric Slick and Theo Travis are involved in an interesting looking new project with Tim Motzer & Barry Meehan. Described as "an immersive journey in groove exploration, textures, and orchestration—cut up, mis-aligned, and re-imagined for the wandering ear" Goldbug's debut album 'The Seven Dreams' is not officially released until September, but you can now pick up the album from a handful of stores in Philadelphia, or failing that the 1K records webshop.
GOLDBUG—THE SEVEN DREAMS
1 Shadow Memory
2 The Departure
3 Unraveling
4 Scratching The Third Eye
5 Elevation
6 The Past Is Still Present
7 Persistence Of A Memory
TIM MOTZER - guitars, keyboards, piano, laptop
THEO TRAVIS - tenor saxophone, flute, ambitronics
BARRY MEEHAN - bass, piano, voice
ERIC SLICK - drums, percussion, voice, kaos pad

Hey, I was just going to post that. It'd be nice to have some samples, but the blurb is enough to pique my interest all the same. And it's been too long since I've been able to pop down to AKA Music already.

Markus Reuter's long-awaited extended algorithmic composition for live instruments and electronics,
Todmorden 513
is now reduced to a single CD for pre-order at a standard CD price. Pre-orders directly finance the production of this work, from all accounts a masterpiece. I'm very glad he's made the decision to release a standard CD edition, and I'll be pre-ordering mine as soon as the money's in the bank on payday.

More detailed information on the project including a free 15 minute extract to download.

Well, that sure got my attention. "An algorithmic composition" - wonder if that means the approach was similar to what he did on
Pole?
Bookmarked (both that and the CGT). Thanks for the intel.

I haven't really heard any negative reviews of the new Arcade Fire album, out tomorrow.
You can currently listen to the whole thing streaming at NPR (possibly US only? the article will work if the sound doesn't...):

David's compilation of collaborative recordings made over the past decade or so and entitled 'Sleepwalkers' will be available from Sept 27th. We'll be taking pre-orders from the end of August. We'll post more details closer to the actual date.
A number of the tracks have been given a subtle remix by David to bring them in line with his personal requirements while others have been given more obvious updates and changes. All the material has been completely remastered.
As previously reported the track listing is as follows:
01. Sleepwalkers (with Martin Brandlmayr)
02. Money for all (with Nine Horses)
03. Ballad of a deadman feat. Joan Wasser (with Steve Jansen)
04. Angels (with Jan Bang and Erik Honoré aka Punkt)
05. World citizen - I won't be disappointed (with Ryuichi Sakamoto/Chasm mix)
06. Five lines (with Dai Fujikura/ previously unreleased)
07. The day the earth stole heaven (with Nine Horses)
08. Playground martyrs (with Steve Jansen)
09. Exit/delete (with Masakatsu Takagi)
10. Pure genius (with Tweaker)
11. Wonderful world (with Nine Horses)
12. Transit (with Christian Fennesz)
13. The world is everything (with Takuma Watanabe)
14.Thermal (with Arve Henriksen)
15. Sugarfuel (with Readymade FC)
16. Trauma (solo outtake from Blemish)
Compilation produced by David Sylvian.
