No, I have no need to ask.

It was the same appalling behaviour which led (eventually) to my last not-deleted post on the site... I think that my comments there may have been the real reason behind my banning, nothing to do with the bacon.

I thought the whole double duo, including Robert, was vegetarian, but I really don't know.

Congratulations Owen

FWIW I stopped visiting P over a year ago, and no I don't want to know any more.

On a brighter note

from BBC News

Quote
Circumcision can cut the rate of HIV infection in heterosexual men by 50%, results from two African trials show.

Dr Kevin De Cock, director of the HIV/Aids department of the World Health Organization told the BBC the results were a "significant scientific advance" but were not a magic bullet and would never replace existing prevention strategies.

Oh, my.

Okay, I admit it.  I had to look.  I knew it was a bad idea, but I went ahead and did it anyway.

Thanks to Jon (and indirectly, Owen) for standing up for me.  You boys will have to meet me upstairs in the bedroom so I can give you both a proper thanking.  Hey, that's just the kind of girl I am!  Don't tell Scorchy, though--he gets so jealous when I do that.

Oh, my.

PS: Scott or Nadz--I forgot to mention it before--apparently Dog has registered, but for some reason is unable to log in.  Could one of you guys look into why this might be?  (Of COURSE I'll thank you too, but I'm getting tired, so you'll have to wait your turn.)

Now I feel bad for mentioning that place here at all. Sorry Sarah. You shouldn't have to read that shit.

I'm also sorry for not defending you sooner and more directly. That was simply inexcusable cowardice on my part.

And can you even have an upstairs bedroom in a loft?

My response to you is threefold:

1. I shouldn't have to read that shit, but neither should any of the rest of us.  That sort of pervasively malicious attitude would likely have driven me from that particular board eventually, even if it wasn't personally directed at me.  I'm thankful we don't treat people like that here.  (And I'm not simply referring to the stuff about me, I'm also thinking about the obstinate reviewer whose musical opinions quickly degraded to gay-bashing and other needlessly abusive arguments.)

2. You know what?  It's really okay.  Responding to a baseless accusation lends it legitimacy, so perhaps those statements were better left ignored.  I lost no sleep over what I read yesterday.  Anyone whose opinion matters to me knows me well enough to know that the accusations leveled at me are completely untrue.

3. Hypothetically one could, but mine will be downstairs (a few steps down from the main level, actually).  The upstairs is reserved for...wait for it...the music room/sewing studio.

I tried really hard to work some humor into this post to keep it light, but it's just too damn early.  Maybe I'll revisit it after I've had a cup of coffee.

I thought about defending as well and figured it wouldn't do any good with that lot. I know it wasn't necessary, but I'm sorry all the same.
