OK, continue listening to Slayer and Opeth on your boom boxes. Whatever works for you...

Did you sneak down for new years last year?

All the cooking was accompanied by Bob Marley, Tool, Townes Van Zandt, Dave Alvin, KC, and Leo Kottke on the shop jam box.

Anyone who thinks that the 65-disk FZ collection is an intimidatingly large box collection, check out this enormous slab of geekiness ("only" $2500 at Amazon, saving $1500 off the list price...)

The day after Hallowe'en, some of the local establishments started putting up Christmas decorations.  Although I am going to a lot of concerts in the next week, after that I won't be going to much music for 6-8 weeks simply because everything will be Christmas Chrap. Therefore, I always enjoy good, perverse Christmas counter-programming.

Up first, Letters to Walken.  Christmas letters, only if Christopher Walken had Santa's job.

The current BAD REPORTER mixes bad 70's rock and Intelligent Design for a total win.

I noticed that the World Summit on the information Society is taking place at the Kram expo Centre.

But I thought it was somewhere on the West Coast, not Tunisia
